Here's the plan for this 4-day week: Heads Up: During the day on Tuesday, the 5th Grade Committee will take candid photos of students for the yearbook. Bring those smiles! Writing: Informational Writing. Once we finish publishing our compare and contrast essays, we'll switch to writing a "cause and effect" essay, focusing on structure and transition words. Reading: Informational Reading. We will continue reading about European explorers in A History of Us by Joy Hakim. We'll learn how to quote from a text accurately when answering questions, how to draw inferences, and how to summarize informational text. I also hope to finally finish Wonder this week or next week. Math: We'll finish learning how to add and subtract decimals by lining up the place values. We have one more lesson after that, on patterns in decimal sequences, and then it's time to review for an assessment. Comments are closed.
