This past Friday we said farewell (for now) to Almir, who is taking a leave of absence to visit family in Bangladesh. We hope you have a great trip Almir! Can't wait to see you when you get back! Mid-day Field Trip on Wednesday to the Royall House in Medford. We'll learn a little history about our own city. Reading: We will continue meeting with our Book Groups this week. Students are working on improving their summarizing skills, asking thought-provoking questions, and growing their vocabularies. This week we'll finish up our animals project as well. Students are still working on the following activities:
Writing: Students are working on a personal narrative. The goal is to use figurative language and powerful descriptions throughout their writing. We will also enjoy this gorgeous weather by taking a walk down to the Mystic River to write. We'll even dabble in some poetry. Math: We'll start this week working on coordinate planes and plotting points. We'll play a game called Hidden Treasure to practice our plotting skills. Next we'll move on to our last topic in the math curriculum, Volume. Students will engage in some investigations on measuring the volume of 3D figures. So that's the general plan for the week! Feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or feedback. Comments are closed.
