Have you ever wondered what two characters from two different books have in common? I’m doing that right now with Gregg Heffley from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and August from the book Wonder. I’m going to tell you some things they do have in common.
One thing they have in common is they both have trouble making friends. For example, Gregg is just not the type of kid who can fit in with the cool kids. It just doesn’t work out for him that way. His only friend is Rowley and he’s just weird and a nerd. August on the other hand has a face deform so that doesn’t come so handy for him. He’s not the type of kid who can go up to another kid and say, “Hey want to be my friend,” because he’s afraid people will make fun of him because of his face deformity. Sometimes I feel bad for both of them. Here are some things they don’t have in common. First, they treat their parents differently. For example, Gregg treats his parents badly because there way over protective. August treats his parent’s great because he loves them a lot and he calls his mom mummy and his dad daddy. Another one is August likes toys and Star Wars and Gregg doesn’t like that at all. I wonder if they would be friends if they met each other.
