My Narrative by Almir

I was at a picnic. There were tables and people everywhere. I gripped my raffle ticket hoping it won’t fall out of my hand. I was sweating so much I felt like it was raining. I sat on the bright green cozy grass waiting for the raffle to start. The first place prize is an I-Pad 2, which was the thing I wanted the most. Second place prize were these big speakers. Those were the poopiest things ever. Third place prize was an ancient iPod. Fourth place prize was a microphone. I had one ticket which was five bucks. When the raffle started I was shaking nervously looking at the people around me. All of them had at least five tickets, I only had one.

“There no way I’m going to win that I-pad,” I said.

 They started with fourth prize I didn’t make it but I didn’t want it. Then they announced third prize. They called “72845,” I lost again but I didn’t care. Then second I didn’t get that either. Then they said first prize. They said the first number, I got it right, and they said the rest of the numbers except the last. I got all of them right! Now the last number was coming… The number was my number. I was shocked for a moment. I had never won a rafel before. Then I screamed, “I win!!!” And then I walked over to the table where you get your prize.

 Everybody was looking at me and whispering, “He’s just a little kid! he can’t win.”

 I said, “Well I just did.”
