Dear Class,

I am doing a succinct (is that spelled right?) summary. Slower than the Rest is about a boy named Leo who is in fourth grade and is, quote, "slower than the rest," which means that it takes him longer to learn things than other people. One day, when Leo and his family were going to church, Leo found a turtle. He named him Charlie and they became best friends.
Then a week called Prevent Forest Fires week comes. The people at Leo's school were supposed to present a project on why forest fires are bad. Leo brought Charlie into school, and that day he got an award because he had the best project.
That is what Better than the Rest is about.

Dear Ms Kimball, I read the passage "Slower Than The Rest" By Cynthia Rylant. This story is about a boy named Leo who finds a turtle by the side of the road and keeps it as a pet and names it Charlie. Dear class,
This is my succinct summary.
I read "Slower than the rest" and I am a huge fan of it. This small story is about a boy named Leo, who found a turtle and kept it as a pet. The turtle's name was Charlie. Charlie was a very friendly turtle, who liked to ride on Leo's shoulder and burry his head in Leo's neck.
Unfortunately, having a pet turtle made Leo "slower than the rest" in his class, and his seating was changed to sitting in the back of the room with other "slow" kids. A couple days later, Leo brought Charlie to school for a report on forest fires. He aced it, because that friday, he got a reward for his report, and for the first time, he actually felt fast. Dear Class,
I'm doing a succinct summary on Slower than the Rest. In Slower than the Rest Leo, one of the main characters is driving on a road and to his suprise stumbles upon a turtle, which he names Charlie. Leo takes Charlie home. Leo is a boy who is slower than the rest at learning so he was placed in a special classroom with children as slow as he. One day his teacher gave him an assignment on forest fires, so Leo brought Charlie to school and explained how animals like Charlie are to slow to escape forest fires. That afternoon there was an assembly on forest fires and Leo won an award for his presentation with Charlie! Leo thought he would explode with happiness and for the first time in a long time Leo felt fast!

succinct summary

Dear Class,

"Slower than the Rest" is about a boy named leo. Leo is slow so he is in a special class for slow children. On the way to church Leo finds a turtle. He named The turtle Charlie and from the start he loved Charlie. Charlie is slow because he is a turtle. On the day that Leo had to say a speech about forest fires. He brings Charlie to school. Leo says his speech. Then he holds up Charlie. The class is amazed. Then later Leo wins the best speech contest. Leo learned that even slow people even have a chance.

I am writing a succinct summary for the text "Slower Than The Rest" by Cynthia Rylant.

The story Slower Than The Rest is a really interesting and awesome text.This story is about a boy named Leo who finds a turtle on the side of the road and brings him home. This turtle is named Charlie. Leo's sisters think that Charlie is gross, but Leo adores him. Leo is slower than the rest. This is what Leo's father called him because he was slow with everything in school. He was moved to a classroom that helped him understand his learning better. When Leo has an assignment to make a presentation on forest fires, Leo brings Charlie into school for his presentation. Everybody loves his speech, and he even wins the contest for it! Charlie seemed to have helped Leo a lot.

Dear Class, I am writing succinct summary. The story I read is Slower than the Rest by Cynthia Rylant is about a boy named Leo. Leo doesn't work as fast as his classmates in school. One day he is on the highway and he finds a turtle. He names it Charlie. In school he had to write a report on forest fires and how to prevent them. He brought Charlie in for his report. He ended up winning a reward for his excellent report.

Dear Class,

This is my word review. My first word is Jerked, jerked can mean to pull or to be quick in the case of the story jerked means quickly, to move quick because the family is in aww. My second word is Frantically, frantically means to be desperate or excited in this case it would be in excitement because Charlie the turtle is moving with excitement. The third word is Geranium, a geranium is a colorful flower from Africa which can also be known as a storks bill. Finally, last but not least my last word is Plaque, a plaque is like a trophy but in a tile shape and it can be such a great honor that if you're awarded with it you may, get your name engraved on the plaque.These are all the words that I found interesting. So that's my word review.

I am doing a Succinct Summary. The storey is about a kid named Leo and he finds a turtle on the road. Leo keeps it and his family thinks it is gross and wants nothing to do with it. Leo names his turtle Charlie they are best friends. The next day Leo's class was doing Prevent fire week and he brought in Charlie. Leo said that turtles were slow and they would die in a forest fire. Everyone else was making impressions of Smokey the Bear. Leo won the a award from the principal.

(this is a text connection) Slower than the rest was a heart warming story and I loved it. A connection that I made was that I once had
a wild turtle come to our house and it was really cute. But one day
the turtle never came for a month and I wondered why, so I went to
the swamp near my house and found the turtle. It raced toward me
and then I ran toward it and accidently scared it off. After that I never saw the turtle again. Slower than the rest was a very nice story about a turtle and a boy. The book was amazing in my opinion.

Hear is my succinct summary I hope you like it. Slower than the rest is a story about a boy named Leo who finds a turtle on the highway.He kept the turtle and namer him Charley, Leo´s class is having a project on forest fires and how to preserve nature.Leo decides that he is going to bring Charley to his class and tell them about how turtles need our help to cross high ways,roads,and streets.Leo brings charley and tells his class about turtles.His teacher loved his speech and his class did too. When it was almost time to go home his class went to see the principalś speech. Leo was waiting and kind of zoning out when the person next to him said you won! Leo was so thrilled he went up on stage clutching the box with Charley in it. He loved his turtle and was so surprised that he won.I hope you liked my summary.

Dear class,
I'm doing a succinct Summary. The story Slower Than The Rest is about a kid who is a slow thinker and processor than the rest of the kids but on the highway he spots a turtle and his mom is sympathetic towards turtles so she let him keep the turtle. Then he brought leo the turtle to school and did a report called forest fires.
Later he saw the school reenacting smokey the bear and mimicking other animals and the principal called his name and he won best story in forest fire education then he was called up to the stage and he got an award.
Later that night he felt proud of himself for being good at something for the first time.

Dear class,
I am doing a succinct summary.
In the story there is a boy named Leo. Leo finds a turtle and brings it home with him as his own pet. Leo names the turtle Charlie. Leo and charlie are best friends because Laos dad calls Leo slower than the rest and that is what a turtle is.
Leo decides to bring in Charlie for hi report on forest fires. Leo does his report and then brings out Charlie. Everyone gasps. Leo continues on his report. The nest day there is a assembly in the auditorium. Leo wins the award for his report. And for the first time in his life he felt fast. This is a heart warming story by Cynthia Rylant.

I just read a story called “Slower Than the Rest”. This story is about a boy named Leo, who finds a turtle that will help him a lot more than he thinks it will. One day Leo finds this turtle on the highway, and names it Charlie. He keeps Charlie, and brings him into school for a project. Leo's project is on forest fires. He explains how some animals are fast, and how some are slower than the rest. Surprisingly at the end of the story Leo realizes that he has a lot in common with Charlie.

Dear Class,

as you know I read Slower Than the Rest. I liked this story, because it is kid friendly, and cute. Anyway this story is about a boy named leo, who finds a turtle on the highway, and his parents let him keep it. To Leo it was nice to have a pet of his own. In the story we learn that Leo is called “slower than the rest” by his father, because he is pretty slow in most things like reading, and writing, and in fourth grade he got put in a separate class. But now with his turtle leo is fast.
At school it was “Prevent Forest Fires Week”, and Leo decided to take his turtle who hor some reason I haven’t mentioned his name, but his name is Charlie. Any way Leo take Charlie to school for part of his “Prevent Forest Fires Week”. Everybody loved his presentation and thought it was great. Later on when the principal was announcing who had the best presentation he had chosen Leo, and it took him by surprise that he had won. Know he wasn't slower than the rest he was fast. I thought it was a great story, and I loved it.

Dear Ms.Kimball

Leo is a kid who his dad calls him slower than the rest because he was slower than everybody but one day he saw a turtle on the highway and took him home so he could care for him. Soon it was fire day and he had to do a project for the project so he brought in his turtle.

Later the next day Leo brought Charlie to his school and he told the class how animals like deer and bears could easily run away but if you're a slow animals it's very slim you will survive the fire and the class loved the project so much everybody was cheering and Leo felt great.

Later Leo was thinking about getting home and playing with Charlie when he got called up and he got the award he won the project competition.And that night he slept happy for he was a bit faster than the rest.
