Hi Students, Welcome to the Reading Response Blog! This is where we'll be sharing about our independent reading each week. I look forward to reading and responding to all of your comments! This week, I am giving you the opportunity to try posting a comment. Before you do, please read the Commenting Guidelines. Once you have done that, please follow the prompt below. This Week's Prompt: Say "Hi!" Just reply to this post and you can literally just write, "Dear Class, Hi! Sincerely, [your name]" in the Comments field. Of course, you have to follow the steps from the Commenting Guidelines as best you can. You don't have to go any deeper than a simple greeting this week. I want to make sure you get the hang of how to use the blog. Unlike Google Classroom, this blog can be seen by anyone who visits the website. It is important that you proofread your comment thoroughly and follow the prompts carefully. Your comment has to be approved by me first, so you won't see it posted right away. You should see this message "This comment is currently being held for moderation awaiting approval." I hope you find academic blogging easy and rewarding! Sincerely, Ms. Kimball

Dear Ms Kimball, I am reading, or rather have read, an amazing book called The Last Wild. It is about a boy named Kester who cannot talk to humans but later realizes that he can talk to animals. Meanwhile, almost all the animals on Earth have been wiped out by a dreaded disease called the red eye. Also, an evil food company called Facto has taken over the world, which at that point in time is now a huge island in the middle of the ocean that has flooded the rest of the world. And now Facto is making artificial food for the people. But really all the Facto company wants is power. Now Kester, the remaining animals on earth, and a girl named Polly have to stop Facto and save the world. This book sets a dark and dreary yet adventurous mood.
