For this fun project, students imagined an alien planet called Guargork with a government modeled on that of the U.S., complete with legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Students wrote stories about a day in the life as a member of the Guargork government. They also created their own Guargorkian presidential candidates and made posters to advertise them. Check out some of their great work below.
Fifth graders met with their first grade buddies in Ms. Sullivan's class. They got to know their buddies with a fun interview and coloring activity, and even had an opportunity to read together.
Our hands-on math project had students working in groups to create life-sized square and cubic inches, feet, yards, decimeters, and meters. Check out students in action working together.
Check out students' video about Being a Respectful Audience. Students worked collaboratively in groups to each create a video segment teaching viewers how to be a respectful audience member. Adie, Alex, Amari, and Anthony presented about "Listening;" Ava, Brayden, David, and Finley presented about "Being Supportive;" Gabe, Hazel, Jack, and Lilah presented about "Being Quiet;" Luca, Matthew, Mia, and Paoli presented about "Self Control;" and Sanat, Selina, Silas, and Will presented about "Clapping." |
