Here you will find a page for each classroom I taught at the different schools I worked at. Barrows will be on the top! Before becoming a 2nd grade teacher in Reading, I had eight wonderful years of teaching mostly 5th grade, first in Medford, then Newton, then Sherborn. (I bounced around a bit back when I was young and restless.) I taught from 2009-2018. In those archives, you will find pictures, student work, and teacher plans from those fun years. We had a blast learning through projects, plays, and many hands-on activities. Our classroom communities were nurturing and collaborative. I think fondly of all of my former students and wish them healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives! |

This was my first year teaching 2nd grade and it was the best! I couldn't have asked for a better group of kids who worked hard, made me laugh, had so many clever insights, and put up with my phonics nerdiness. You guys made me fall in love with 2nd grade. A truly fantastic group of kids! You guys had "the goods" --great leadership, enthusiasm, energy, humor, personality, talent, kindness, and so much more. I was so sad to have to leave you for maternity leave through the rest of the school year. In the 4 months I was with you, you proved to be a top-notch class! #BCE This group was unforgettably lovable, smart, thoughtful, and fun. It was my first year as "Ms. Kimball" and my one and only year teaching in Newton. You guys seriously were the B.C.E.!
