For this project, students thought up an invention that they believed would solve problem. They then created a prototype of the invention and designed promotional materials that explained the uses and benefits of the invention as well as user feedback and pricing. Check out some student work below.

Students explored human rights in this project. They created a mini book about what they feel should be the top 10 human rights. They researched a person or organization that defends human rights and created a presentation to inform the class. Lastly, students designed artwork to express their vision of what it means to be human. Check out student work below! Mini Book by LianaHome sweet home --in outer space! Students researched a planet in our solar system and designed a home that would allow them to live comfortably on that planet's harsh environment. For this fun, imaginative homework project, students had to write, model, and advertise an exciting fantasy scenario. They choose from a host of topics, everything from "What if you could change an event in history," to "What if your stuffed animals came to life." Students wrote a detailed, well-thought out story, then created an artistic representation of the most exciting scene, then planned a movie trailer advertising their story. We hope you enjoy! As an extension of our Opinion Writing unit, students created proposals trying to persuade the Pine Hill School Council to buy something for the school. Students' ideas ranged from swimming pools to air conditioners to talent shows to technology. Each student wrote a persuasive letter, compiled a budget of expenses, and created a visual representation to convince the school council to fund their idea.
